Hi!

I'm Sander Jongsma (29), founder of Sheep of The Shepherd.

In March 2024, I married my lovely Alida, and together with our four amazing cats and dog Mees, we live in the forested area of Veenhuizen (Drenthe), where we thoroughly enjoy the peace, the animals, and nature.

God is central to our lives. We trust in His guidance throughout our lives, and we pray for doors to open and close where necessary, all in accordance with His will for our lives. One of these answered prayers is that God has brought us together in this way.

Focused on Jesus, together with Alida and with Him, I want to and try to further commit myself to His Kingdom; Just like every other human being, I am full of flaws and imperfection (which is exactly why we all need Jesus), but with stumbling and rising, I do my best to deny my flesh every day, to listen to His voice, to grow in faith, and to do His will out of love."

After years of ups and downs running the Christian clothing brand 'New Testament,' I decided to step back. Life shifted; due to balancing a full-time job, getting married, buying a home, renovating, writing a book (still a work in progress), and finding a local church I had no more time or energy left for the brand.

Yet, the door never fully closed. After many prayers and an overwhelming sense of calling to return to Christian clothing, I could no longer ignore it. But this time, it’s different.

While 'New Testament' focused exclusively on subtle designs, Sheep of The Shepherd has broadened its vision. We now offer an extensive range featuring both subtle and outspoken designs, seperated into unique collections — including the 'New Testament' collection.

With Sheep of The Shepherd, I aim to serve all brothers and sisters in Christ who want to share their faith through modern apparel. Whether you prefer a minimalist look or a bold statement, we are united in one message:"Jesus is the Good Shepherd."

I pray that Sheep of The Shepherd may bear fruit for many and trust that the brand will have an impact in the way God intends.

I pray that the brand may be a beautiful addition among Christians regarding mutual connection and, above all, that it may be an outstretched hand to those who do not yet know Jesus or have strayed from Him; 'the lost sheep.'

Additionally, I pray that, God willing, I may support or start more and more beautiful and valuable projects and that I may focus on the brand full-time.

I would greatly appreciate it if the brand could also be included in your prayers, so that 'Sheep of The Shepherd' may be blessed to be a blessing.

High-quality, fair & sustainable

We primarily offer garments made from high-quality sustainable fabrics such as organic cotton and recycled polyester. Furthermore, our main clothing manufacturer holds a leading position in the 'Fair Wear Foundation': an independent, non-profit organization dedicated to improving working conditions in the clothing industry. We also do not maintain stock; instead, each garment is printed and shipped only after an order is placed to prevent overproduction. Additionally, our direct POD supplier is known for ensuring ethical and fair labor practices in all its business operations and expects the same from its suppliers.

We are very aware of the shortcomings in the clothing industry regarding working conditions and the use of sustainable fabrics. However, although there is increasing attention to fair and sustainable production, transparency and honesty are difficult to guarantee 100% unless you produce everything yourself. Therefore, we are currently unable to provide a full guarantee regarding Fairwear for our entire range, but must rely on the data available. We also make conscious choices for certain products that are, for example, not 100% organic, in order to enhance our main goal: 'the spread of the gospel'. In addition, all products are of high quality, ensuring a longer lifespan, which in turn contributes to sustainability.
